Boost Your Brew
Mmm, your’e very first coffee of the day is well, life-changing, and to many nothing is more sacred. With healthy add-in’s it feels even more purposeful and meaningful. My personal ritual is one of executing my more menial tasks (like looking at my email) while I sip away until the much appreciated buzz kicks in. Then I proceed to hit the ground running for the remainder of my crazy day!
Some 67% of Americans drink at least one cup of joe a day, and many other cultures drink more than two cups. Recent studies of 208,000 women and men have shown that people who drink coffee regularly were less likely to die at a young age than those who didn’t drink any caffeine at all…Love those stats!
We have learned that coffee can lower the risk of a stroke because coffee keeps the blood vessels flexible. Also, it’s high in antioxidants which is a key component in warding off cancer.
Since my coffee habit is so deeply ingrained, I like to elevate my experience even further for a couple reasons. One, because I like to change out the same predictable beverage and the other is because of the possibility to gain so many important health benefits.
The easiest change to make is simply adding organic CINNAMON and it’s usually on the top of every coffeehouse counter or in your kitchen panty.
If you’re making your own coffee you can sprinkle ½ teaspoon into your cup or you can top your grounds with ¼ teaspoon before brewing the coffee. Cinnamon is a flavorful and beneficial little hack, It is an antioxidant that lowers blood pressure and cholesterol. It also inhibits the growth of the bacteria that causes bad breath.
Another option is adding MCT OIL to your morning joe. This healthy medium-chain triglyceride gives you instant energy because of the amazing bioavailability, along with power to curb your appetite. MCT has been proven to promote good heart health and can fuel your brain to boot!
Ingestible MULTI-COLLAGEN PROTEIN POWDER in you hot or iced coffee replenishes your body’s natural collagen supply. Stir a heaping tablespoon into your hot coffee or use a battery-operated coffee frother to dissolve in iced! You can order one on Amazon if you don’t own one, I have to tell you they’re amazing!!
The last hack I have for you is to use COCONUT WATER as a hydrator in your iced coffee. Add ½ cup in an iced brew and it will naturally sweeten and replenish the electrolytes you lose during a workout sesh.
